Olomouc launches a special website for the upcoming zoning plan

Olomouc - The City of Olomouc is launching a special website dedicated to the preparation of a new land use plan. The project is part of an information campaign that the city hall wants to involve the general public in the creation of this strategic document. The city leadership believes that the website, due to the flexibility and accessibility of the internet, will become one of the main communication tools. Starting next week, people will be able to discuss with representatives of the concept and development department in an online discussion on the website www.olomouc.eu/uzemni-planovani.

The special page, which is part of the official city website www.olomouc.eu, can also be accessed through the "land use planning" icon. After clicking on it, a navigation page will appear where visitors can choose if they want information on the valid land use planning documentation or the new land use plan being prepared. The website will be launched on Friday, October 17.

In addition to basic information - what a land use plan is, how it is created, and what the city needs this document for - users will regularly find fresh news and information on the phase of its development and when they can get involved in its preparation. Over time, graphic documents created during the preparation of the land use plan will also be added. Detailed information about land use planning, including applicable legislation, can be found on specialized pages in the important links section. People will be able to express their opinions in a survey, the topic of which will change according to current issues.

The biggest novelty is the regular online discussions, during which a representative of the client or processor of the new land use plan will be available to Olomouc residents at a specified time. However, people can continuously leave suggestions and comments on the website. "We want to take advantage of all opportunities to give people space to express their opinion. The internet is ideal in this sense, and truly a wide audience can participate," said Radek Dosoudil, head of the concept and development department.

He also pointed out that the online chats will only be informal discussions. "Official comments can be addressed to the concept and development department through special forms. However, it is possible that the processor of the land use plan will also take informal comments into account. In any case, the opinions of the city's residents are important to us," added Dosoudil.

Comments should not relate to the existing land use plan but to the planned one. It is currently in the assignment phase, which generally characterizes the goals and requirements for the municipality's land use plan. The full text of the assignment has been published on the official notice board of the City Hall of Olomouc since Wednesday, October 15, and will also be available on the previously mentioned website. The first online discussion is scheduled for Monday, October 20, from 1 PM to 3 PM.
