Napajedla - Napajedla in the Zlín region will complete the gradual reconstruction of the town hall courtyard. The area was previously paved, a stage has been added, and last year the city began to use the courtyard for various events. The former technical services garage still remains, and new public restrooms should be installed there, said the town's mayor Irena Brabcová (Napajedelské fórum-ANO) today.

"The restrooms should also serve for cultural and social events taking place in the courtyard. There will also be a buffet and storage for furniture that the city uses in outdoor areas," the mayor stated. A small passage will also be created in the building, connecting the riverside with the town hall courtyard.

"This is the last step that we should complete around the town hall," Brabcová said. The renovation of the former garages is expected to cost about ten million crowns.

In the city center, other areas have already been modified; a new area in front of the cinema connects with the town hall square, and there is a new parking area next to the town hall. The former technical services facility has also been transformed to serve as a support point for cyclists riding along the Morava River and the Baťa Canal.

The seven-thousand-population town is operating this year with a budget of 115 million crowns in revenue and 145 million crowns in expenditures, with the deficit covered by savings from previous years. 46 million crowns have been allocated for investments.
