On the Prague riverbank, Lázně na Lodi by H3T Architects is growing

The architectural studio H3T architects is building a pilot project of a spa facility on board the (A)void Floating Gallery on Rašínovo nábřeží. The Spa on the Ship will offer a Finnish sauna with a view of Prague Castle and a capacity of 20 people, sanitary facilities, and both indoor and outdoor relaxation areas. Everything will be located on the (A)void steamboat anchored at the riverbank at the level of the tram stop Výtoň.
The Spa on the Ship operated with a capacity of 10 people last year. It enjoyed great popularity, and this year it offers a larger capacity and higher comfort. A new feature compared to last year is the option for online reservation on the spa's website. “We have been interested in the phenomenon of river spas for several years. The location of the riverbank has recently become one of the most popular places for spending leisure time in the entire metropolis. Our project offers the possibility to make use of this popular spot even during the winter season,” says one of the project’s authors, Vítek Šimek from the studio H3T architects.
The Spa on the Ship will be open every day from the end of November to the end of April from 4 PM to 10 PM. By arrangement, similar to last year, the Spa on the Ship can also be used privately. “You will have the opportunity to borrow a towel and a sheet from the sauna staff or purchase light refreshments,” adds Štepán Řehoř, the second of the authors of the Spa on the Ship.
The H3T architects studio has been engaged in the design and implementation of various unusual saunas for several years. Their sauna on the piazza of the National Theatre attracted great interest from both experts and the general public. They also gained attention with the floating sauna, flying sauna (suspended), and cycling sauna. Most projects are created at a low cost and with the help of sponsors.
