Brno - A mobile passive house started to rise today at the Brno exhibition center, which will be auctioned off. It will measure 7.5 by 3.5 meters and have a height of 3.5 meters. Architect David Vašíček, who is behind the project, told ČTK that the real price of the unit is approximately 350,000 crowns excluding VAT. In the autumn online auction, its starting price will be one crown.

Visitors to the fairs can observe the construction of the house in Pavilion V. The event focuses primarily on the presentation of materials and construction processes used in large residential buildings. During the first day, the supporting skeleton, floor, ceiling, and all the side walls were assembled. In the following days, insulation and wall cladding will continue, along with the installation of a kitchen unit, air conditioning, and lighting.
According to the event organizers, interest in passive houses is continually increasing. "While the situation in construction is worsening, interest in passive houses is rising," Vašíček stated.
The mobile passive house, which can serve its future owner as an independent recreational object or office, will be fully completed by the end of the construction fairs in Brno. The fairs started today and will end on Saturday.
The construction fairs are among the most visited events at Veletrhy Brno. Last year, they attracted 66,326 visitors. On an area of over 28,000 square meters, 809 exhibitors from 19 countries are showcasing their offerings.
