Mladá Boleslav - The City of Mladá Boleslav has published a catalog of investment opportunities. The city leadership decided to publish it after repeated requests from potential investors for written materials. The publication comprehensively presents the land owned by the city that is suitable for investor intentions in the areas of manufacturing, residential, and other projects, said Deputy Mayor Robin Povšík today to ČTK.

The catalog contains clear information about each location, including a map, aerial photograph, and data on transportation connections and engineering networks as well as the relationship of the location to the approved land use plan. Its publication was funded by sponsors.
According to Povšík, Mladá Boleslav is constantly the focus of great interest from investors, and the catalog briefly and clearly presents land suitable for various investments. "It is true that the city does not have an abundance of its own land, and we must be all the more cautious about how we manage it and to whom we offer it," he added.
The city offers investors land in a total of five locations, which are mostly in the outskirts of the city. The largest is the western zone of Bezděčín with two adjacent locations covering 17 and six hectares, which, according to Povšík, also attracts the greatest interest from investors. The larger part is designated by the land use plan as a specific mixed-use urban zone near the airport, while a smaller part of the land is intended for small-scale and craft production.
Other city lands in the Sahara location and the district of Dubce are designated for housing, in the suburban area of Michalovice for mass recreation like swimming pools or camps, and in the suburban area of Debř for investments in civic amenities.
Currently, the city leadership is negotiating with investors about the potential use of the former barracks building for a hotel or hostel, plans for the construction of a multifunctional building with apartments and shops, or the intention to build a pastry shop at the so-called Beautiful View. However, the proposal raises mixed reactions, and the city leadership wants to decide on it only after conducting a survey of public opinion among the citizens.
The largest company and employer in the city area is the Škoda Auto car manufacturer. Thanks to it and a number of other enterprises related to the automotive industry, Mladoboleslavsko has very low unemployment. Investors are also attracted by the proximity of the expressway between Prague and Liberec, availability of rail transport, an abundance of skilled labor, and the significant purchasing power of residents with a good standard of living.
