Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was commissioned by affluent and open-minded spouses Grete and Fritz Tugendhat to create their utopian social vision. The documentary narrates the changing history of the house, built in 1929/30, and its inhabitants, each uniquely and specifically connected to the house. In addition to the members of the Tugendhat family and former residents, art historians and restorers who have contributed to the restoration of this unique building in recent years also share their insights.
