Třebíč - The Třebíč Swimming Complex Polanka and the covered Laguna swimming pool are awaiting repairs in the near future. At Polanka, the builders must replace the water pipes, which are in a state of emergency in both the swimming and diving areas of the facility. The replacement is necessary to ensure hygienically safe water in the pools. The repair should be completed by mid-June, when the main season regularly begins. This was stated today to journalists by the city hall spokesperson Ivan Přibík. At the covered Laguna swimming pool, one of the two saunas will undergo changes, which has been closed for several months due to cracks in the walls. It also does not meet hygiene requirements. The sauna will also receive a new steam generator. The costs for replacing the pipes at Polanka will reach two million crowns, while the price for sauna repairs will come from a tender. "Smaller repairs are covered by the tenants of both facilities, while larger repairs and investments are financed by the city," said Přibík. The city supports the renovation of both facilities annually. At the Polanka swimming pool, which was created in the 1970s from former river baths, the historic cabins received a new coat of paint last year. Recently, new public lighting for the area was completed.
