Prague - The development company Konhefr plans to build 162 family houses in Horní Počernice, Prague, within ten years, some of which will be underground. The first phase of the White Hill project is planned to start this October, the Czech News Agency found out from the EIA database. The developer divided the construction into six phases, with completion expected in 2025.

The houses will have layouts of 4+kk, 5+kk, and two-generational ones will be 4+kk with 2+kk. Some of the houses will be underground. They will have all rooms on one level. They will be complemented by two open atriums, which ensure ventilation and lighting of the layouts. According to the developer, the houses under a layer of soil planted with vegetation offer modern ecological living. "The architectural-energy concept of the house guarantees a pleasant microclimate in all residential units during all seasons," the company states on its website.
Konhefr built similar unique houses in the country for the first time in the project "Nové Počernice" in Prague 9. The construction of these low-energy houses in the country was later nominated for the State Housing Development Fund Award for the best residential building in 2010.
Approximately 550 people are expected to live in the houses from the White Hill project. The planned wastewater treatment plant is dimensioned for that many people. In addition, the developer will establish 508 parking spaces, and part of the plan includes the construction of an earth mound and green areas with park modifications. The total built-up area will occupy 91,500 square meters.
The area is to be built north of the current construction bounded by Kludských and Cirkusová streets. To the west, the area connects to K Zelenči street, which connects to Ve Žlíbku street. This area is currently used for agriculture. "The proposed project is part of a newly built residential zone, and therefore, no negative response from the residents is expected,” the developer writes in the documentation.
The development company Konhefr, Construction and Interiors, which was established in 1996, specializes in the construction of low-energy family and residential buildings in Prague and its surroundings. It has constructed projects such as Krásné Počernice, Struhařovské výsluní, and Residence Klánovice. For the residential complex Horní Počernice V Lukách, it received the prestigious Building of the Year 2008 award. Last year, the developer had a turnover of 80 million crowns after 207 million crowns the year before.
