Interview with Ole Scheeren

OMA is not just Koolhaas. The American branch is led by Joshua Prince-Ramus, about whom there was recently a heated debate online. The incendiary discussions on archiweb are only a pale imitation of it. The European headquarters of OMA is led by the equally young Ole Scheeren (35 years old). The career of this originally German architect is marked by constant movement. Traveling for education, work, and leisure. He collaborated with Koolhaas while still a student at London’s AA (exhibition Cities on Move), with OMA he designed the Educatorium and a villa in Bordeaux, but his name only came to public attention with the Prada Epicentre project in New York.
