Leaning skyscraper in China by Steven Holl

The New York office of Steven Holl won the invited competition for the Vanke Center in Shenzhen, China. The "floating skyscraper" will be located on the coast of the South China Sea. In addition to the headquarters of China Vanke Co. Ltd., the complex will also include a conference center, a hotel, and private apartments. Instead of having each function in its own building, Holl proposed a single megastructure resembling a branch. Construction on the 60,000 m² site will begin in April 2007. Info>
