BAD (bath) – come to the exhibition with a towel

With a quirky solution for enjoying art while cooling down, the Berlin-Rotterdam architectural office SMAQ has come up with this summer's installation. In the garden of the Stuttgart Academy Schloss Solitude, they installed a crazy sculpture that can also serve as a bathtub for anyone. The base consists of a one-kilometer long pink garden hose connected to a hydrant, and the landscape is made up of wooden slats that create a sunbed, a changing room, and the bathtub itself. The hose is coiled into countless loops and can hold enough water to fill the tub. Before the water flows through the entire hose, it warms up to a pleasant temperature in the sun.
