Zdeněk Fránek (*1961) architect and educator
He was born in Boskovice. After studying at the Faculty of Architecture at VUT Brno, he worked at the ÚHA in Blansko, and in 1989 he founded the company Fránek Architects. He currently engages in design, publishing, and educational activities both at home and abroad.
He has realized numerous exhibitions, including the 2007 exhibition Perspectives at the Jaroslav Frágner Gallery in Prague, the 2011-2012 exhibition Interiors of Architecture at the House of Arts in Brno, as well as several solo exhibitions in Litomyšl, Boskovice, Blansko, Zlín, Pelhřimov, Ghent, Utrecht, Hildesheim, and Vienna.
He has lectured for professionals and students at universities in the Czech Republic – AVU, VŠUP, ČVUT, KU, VUT Brno, VŠB Ostrava, UTB Zlín, and others. Abroad, he has lectured at universities in Ghent, Utrecht, Hildesheim, New Delhi, Beijing, Santiago de Chile, among others.
