Come to a very interesting discussion with prominent guests, focused on unique examples of modern architecture in towns and villages. The experiences of mayors will be engagingly presented by the well-known Czech journalist writing about architecture, Petr Volf. You will be introduced to modern architecture in villages by the dean of the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec, Professor Zdeněk Fránek, who is undoubtedly among the best internationally recognized Czech architects. Architect Kamil Mrva will share his visions for Palkovice, having completed several highly valued and quality buildings in villages like Palkovice.

The exhibition of Places of Architectural Inspiration is an exceptional showcase of one hundred and nine progressive buildings of Czech architecture created between 1990 and 2013. The exhibition demonstrates that since 1990, an impressive amount of quality architecture has emerged in villages and smaller towns. Some of the listed buildings have received architectural awards in competitions, such as the Grand Prix of the Czech Architects Association, or have represented Czech architecture at international exhibitions.

The event will take place at the Cultural House in Palkovice. Entry is free. The exhibition at the event has been loaned by the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery.
