Heide & von Beckerath is a Berlin architectural studio founded in 1996. Tim Heide and Verena von Beckerath focus on space as a challenge for projects from various fields and of different scales, which requires ongoing exploration of both architecture and society, as well as sustainable solutions and technologies. Their holistic approach encompasses urban planning strategies, architecture, and conceptual studies. Because the studio approaches each project as a complex entity with formal, cultural, and intellectual dimensions, it collaborates as needed with other architects, artists, and specialists. Projects by Heide & von Beckerath are widely presented in international galleries and art institutions, many works have been published in recognized books and magazines, and they have received prestigious awards. Among the reference projects are the Berlin residential building project with the Flottwell Zwei studio, Michel Majerus Estate projects, Haus im Oderbruch, Apartmenthaus am Kurfürstendamm, or Zwei Wohnhäuser in Altglienicke.

Verena von Beckerath is a co-founder and partner of the Heide & von Beckerath studio. She studied cultural studies at the Sorbonne in Paris and the University of Hamburg and also studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin. She worked as an assistant professor at the University of the Arts in Berlin and as a visiting professor at the Technical University of Braunschweig. As part of a research fellowship, she also served at the German Academy in Rome (Villa Massimo) and recently as a visiting critic at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
