Revitalization of the local Husovo Square in Lysá nad Labem - announcement of the competition
The city of Lysá nad Labem announces on July 15, 2016, an urban-architectural competition for the design of the revitalization of the local Husova Square. The purpose and mission of the competition is to find and evaluate the most suitable solution that meets the requirements of the organizer contained in the competition conditions and in the competition materials.
The goal of the organizer is to obtain an assessment of the potential of Husova Square and a broad spectrum of opinions on the possibilities of its use. Based on the results of the competition, the jury will recommend the selected design for implementation to the organizer. The authors of the awarded competition designs may be commissioned to develop subsequent stages of the project documentation.
The earliest anticipated date for the start of the implementation of the modifications to Husova Square is 2018.
Members of the jury include architects Jan Šépka, Jan Líman, Petr Preininger, and Pavel Nasadil. Additionally, the evaluation will include representatives Hynek Fajmon, Petr Eliška, Petr Gregor, and the mayor of the city Karel Otava, city architect Jan Ritter, transportation engineer Marek Mejzr, budget analyst Miroslav Dubina, and representatives of heritage conservation and environmental authorities will also be invited.
The prize for the winner of the competition is set at 120,000 CZK, with the second and third prizes being 70,000 and 50,000 CZK, respectively.
The deadline for submitting competition designs is October 31, 2016.
