Revitalization of the town center of Planá nad Lužnicí - announcement of the competition

The town of Planá nad Lužnicí announces on November 11, 2013, an architectural competition for the design of the revitalization of the town center. The subject of the competition is the preparation of a proposal for the modifications of the central public space of Planá nad Lužnicí, particularly regarding architectural and traffic solutions, design of furniture, and landscaping modifications. The competition should examine a new spatial definition of the central public space, propose new material solutions, and bring ideas for its future use, especially with the aim of overall calming traffic in public spaces. The tender conditions specify requirements for solving cycling traffic, parking spaces, greenery, and bus stops; the area covered also includes the space around St. Wenceslas Church and a memorial site in front of the elementary school.

The competition is announced as a project-based, public anonymous, and one-round contest. More detailed information about the competition can be obtained from the competition secretary, Ing.arch. The competition has been approved by the Czech Chamber of Architects as regular and is also published on the website.
