1st prize (150,000 CZK): Ing.arch. Jan Psota - Studio P, Atelier Vltava s.r.o. - Ing.arch. Zbyněk Buchta, Ing.arch. Tomáš Bezchleba, Bc. Iveta Horáková, Bc. Jan Augustin, MscArch. Almudena Rodriguéz
Jury evaluation: The proposal best meets the client's expectations in terms of urban planning and traffic, provides a balanced solution for all parts of the area, and appropriately divides the individual parcels of the ground floor. The solution logically stems from functional components in the area. The transport solution meets all requirements for pedestrians, cyclists, and motor vehicles; in connection with the development of the integrated transport system, it is possible to consider different placements for bus stops in the future. The proposal clearly defines the functions of the spaces, provides good orientation for their users, and creates a natural center for the town. The visualizations reflect a well-thought-out material detail for the ground floor, street furniture, and landscaping. The projected costs for the realization of the proposal are realistic and correspond to the client's requirements. The proposal allows for implementation in phases.

2nd prize (90,000 CZK): Petr Brožek - BRAK architects
Jury evaluation: Unlike most proposals, this one does not solely work with the public space of the street and square but also attempts to describe the broader context and character of the entire addressed area. This is most clearly manifested in the completion in front of the panel house, representing a topic for future discussion. The paving solution for the entire space is convincing; however, its realization requires greater financial demands. The areas around the rectory and the church have character but should be developed in greater detail. The paving solution responds to the surrounding buildings and is in accordance with their character and scale. We consider the widening of the space by shifting the trees toward the western front of the houses to be problematic. The solution for bus stops is acceptable. The two-way bike path has local advantages in the area, but we see some disadvantages in broader connections to other parts of the municipality.

3rd prize (60,000 CZK): Grido, architecture and design, s.r.o., Peter Sticzay-Gromski, collaboration: Juraj Kováč, Jan Doubek
Jury evaluation: The concept of the proposal unifies the town center and creates an orthogonal system of areas and trees, thus hierarchizing the space. The author aims to emphasize the strong qualities of the space while suppressing its weak points – the panel house is complemented by a double line of trees. The proposal creates a shopping street that leads to a relatively generous square in front of public buildings. We positively evaluate the placement of the center and the square; however, we believe that the commercial function of the promenade is overly suppressed. We perceive the format and scale of the promenade as disproportionate, and the space for pedestrians is unreasonably narrowed at the expense of the crushed stone surface with trees. The phasing corresponds to the spatial division of the area and meets the client's requirements. The shared public space for cyclists and pedestrians is debatable and insufficient concerning broader relations to other parts of the municipality. There is a lack of a solution for cyclists' access to the shared space of the square.

Award (10,000 CZK): Atelier A8000 spol. s.r.o., Martin Krupauer, collaboration: Petr Hornát
Jury evaluation: A relatively generous solution with the idea of creating a truly urban space. However, especially in the area in front of the primary school, the space lacks a smaller scale. From the perspective of the transport solution, the unique proposal for diagonal parking spots with a separate access lane is very space-consuming. The graphical representation is successful and convincing. However, we consider the cycling transport solution only along the river to be inadequate.

Award (10,000 CZK): MOBA studio s.r.o., Igor Kovačević, Yvette Vašourková, Kateřina Juříčková Šrámková, Barbora Šimonová, collaboration: Stefania Tilotta, Elena Randazzo
Jury evaluation: We evaluate the proposal positively for its simplicity, clarity, and comprehensive solution considering all requirements of the assignment. The shared space is sufficiently dimensioned, but at the expense of shifting the communication axis, which complicates phasing and narrows the space at the eastern street front, thus assigning it a secondary importance in the area. There is a lack of a solution for the placement of containers for separated waste.

Award
(10,000 CZK): Petr Kocourek, collaboration: Jiří Bárta, Vladimír Woth
Jury evaluation: The proposal reduces the road to a minimum profile with a solution for cycling transport using micro-corridors. Spatially, the proposal is clear, unambiguous, and set in the right scale. There is a lack of more detailed material solutions for the paving, especially in the western part of the area, where the uniformity of the surface complicates the use of the space and gives it an inadequate scale. The area around the church, bordered by a modern fence, represents a stimulating proposal for exploring the form of the bond between the new space and the historical character of the place. In contrast, we consider the solution for green islands behind the rectory to be inappropriate for the space in front of the panel house. The ground floor solution is schematic.
