The commission, led by the dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology, Rostislav Drochytka, evaluated buildings constructed from 2008 to 2010. The residential district Villa park Čechovka scored points in the category of civic amenities and housing. The five apartment buildings in the former military barracks were designed by the studio of Humpolec architect Luďek Rýzner. The best traffic new construction in the region became the road bypass of Česká Bělá in the Havlíčkův Brod area. Part of the three-kilometer section on road I/34 includes a 27-meter-high bridge over the valley. The Gustav Mahler park in Jihlava won in the category of sports and leisure buildings. The area, featuring greenery and water elements, with a central point being the Mahler statue, was commissioned by the city. The architectural design of the park was created by Milan Laštovička. Among renovations, the conversion of the main inpatient section of the Pelhřimov hospital, which cost half a billion crowns, received the highest recognition. The architectural design for the region was created by Ateliér Penta Jihlava. The public award went to the town of Třebíč for the restoration of the historic entrance to the Basilica of St. Prokop, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The competition is organized by the Vysočina Building Association in collaboration with the Czech Union of Contractors, the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians engaged in construction, and the region.
