6th year of the KOMA MODULAR architectural competition - designs for a seniors' home in Prague - Strašnice

The subject of the competition was the processing of an architectural design for a new senior home in Prague Strašnice. The basic construction tool had to be spatial modules.
Strašnice connects to residential districts such as Vinohrady and Vršovice and is part of the broader center of Prague. The building fabric of Strašnice is very diverse and consists of villas from the interwar period, apartment buildings, and is complemented by modern construction from recent years.

What ideas architecture students stirred in the waters of modular construction can be found on the competition website. A total of 80 original ideas were submitted, from which the jury will select a winner by 20.2.2012.
