Guest Facilities for a Biotope at Honětice

A biotope is an ever more favourite type of artificial bathing system with a natural water-cleaning technology (non-chemical). The guest facilities will be icorporated into a former agricultural squad workings-structure. We keep the old reinforced-concrete prefab skeleton with the ornamental ribbed ceiling, while the space between the supports is filled up with a new programe; refreshments, cafeteria, sports rental, sanitary units.
The whole structure can be easily opened to all sides; thanks to large gates imbedded into the supports modules. When the gates are shut, the façade still works as a semi-permeable filter between the inside and the outside. Thanks to a solely seasonal usage, simple building methods can be applied. Details, materials, and the structure can thus retain the fresh characteristics of the whole swimming pool area.
