Young family homestead

This is a small family house for a four-member family in Budmerice. The plot is located in a new neighborhood of family houses near a historical park. The client was already inclined towards an open and spatially complex solution in the brief. The result is a design of a set of smaller objects - a homestead. The house with a studio as the first two objects is followed by a garage, a playhouse for children, and a garden shed.
The volume of the house is a pure masonry mass with a shed roof. Inside the house, there is a body made of masonry bricks and solid wood. It contains a pantry, a toilet, bathrooms, a bedroom, a reading room, and a staircase. Around the inserted unit, an open circle unfolds with an entrance, kitchen, living area, parents' night area, a wardrobe, and again the entrance. On the upper floor, there is space for children. From above, they can observe the kitchen and somewhat their parents. The inserted lively object into the monotonous envelope sets the events of the day in motion.
