Footbridge for pedestrians in Palkovice

We have been working for the municipality of Palkovice for some time now. We have completed the reconstruction of the fire station, made adjustments to the chapel in Myslík, renovated an apartment building, designed the town center, and the facade of a grocery store.

Along the Olešná River, we are designing and gradually implementing small urban interventions. One of them is a pedestrian bridge over the river at the location where a bridge used to stand. We did not want to propose just a pedestrian bridge, but also a public space above the river. A place for people to meet, a place to relax, a place with a view of the surroundings. The steel-concrete structure of the bridge, with glass railings and a special bench, allows for uninterrupted observation of ducks and trout in the river. In the evening, the bench is illuminated and creates the impression of floating.
