space for a family with children — playfulness — wit — color — joy

The space of the apartment before the renovation was quite overwhelming, divided into small dark rooms with a lot of corridors and doors, whose opening wings hindered free movement. Details reminded of the times when construction was done on a DIY basis. Because of this, the work on this interior became a pleasant change for me; I could work almost without regard to the original materials and layout. The investor aimed for a generous solution, where one often encounters limits that are financial as well as legal or administrative...the result is a compromise. Creating a spacious apartment for a family with 2 children on 66 m² is not entirely simple. In designing the layout, I had to eliminate everything unnecessary, merge compatible elements...saving on space as well as colors and materials. The investor dispelled concerns about excessive simplicity or sterility of the interior with a cushion and an orange dog, which he placed as the first decoration to guard the coziness of the apartment. After the birth of his son, colors and playfulness definitively took over the apartment. We are anxiously awaiting how the apartment will manage the proposed number of children.
