The restaurant building Rekovice with the identification number 2 is one of the symbols of the municipality. Antonín Bača Horečka was born here, who contributed the most to the establishment of the municipality of Trojanovice and its self-government in 1748.
Two years ago, the representatives of the municipality of Trojanovice agreed to purchase the building with the intent of renovating and operating a municipal restaurant. The historic building has been gradually cleaned, with new ceilings and a new roof proposed for the hall. The original vaults and stone walls were preserved and complemented with contemporary materials.
New window openings invite tourists inside, while the ground floor of the building opens up to nature. Large-format glazing towards the forest acts like a giant television screen. The interior concept is based on openness, for example, with a view into the kitchen and watching the preparation of dishes. The upstairs features six rooms for guest accommodation.
Part of the restaurant includes a wooden gate and wooden seating in nature.
The renovation of the Rekovice restaurant was financed from municipal funds with the goal of operating a municipal inn, which will also serve as a cultural booth for the municipality of Trojanovice. Last year, a forest buffet (from original construction containers) was built nearby the restaurant by volunteers, as well as a children's natural playground.
