Andromeda Tower

The diplomatic center in Donau-City was designed by Vienna's postmodernist Wilhelm Holzbauer. The tall elliptical tower is filled with offices and contains residential units in the last 4 floors. The attractive oval glass facade is pierced by a cascade of protruding prisms, evoking the appearance of a waterfall when viewed from below. The prominent red mass of the communication cube is attached to the north side of the building, creating a clear communication symbol - a kind of red thread (?).
It is positive that Holzbauer managed to rein in his postmodern tendencies and created a charming modern office building in Donau-City.
