Traditionally, every two years, one of the largest trade fairs in the field of window, door, and facade manufacturing technologies, fensterbau/frontale 2014, takes place approximately 300 km from Prague in Nuremberg, Germany. Technologies, components, building parts, and materials are presented here, this year from March 26 to 29. In the category of construction and profile systems, there will be a 500 m2 booth showcasing the portfolio of the German company Schüco International KG. You can find it under number 403 in Hall 7. Energy-efficient window and door systems made of plastic and aluminum will be presented. The energy-technical aspect of the profiles is complemented by high demands on design, user comfort, and safety. Visitors to the booth will be able to closely examine and try out the life-size installed Schüco Alu Inside window profile with patented technology for connecting aluminum with plastic. Other high-tech components and system solutions from Schüco will also have their space, of course.
Optimized designs for energy savings
The plastic construction of the Schüco Alu Inside window profile is 7-chambered and without steel reinforcements. The essence of the patented technology is based on the gradual extrusion of aluminum strips into the plastic profile. The result of the manufacturing process is a highly stable structure that is competitive with steel-reinforced profiles. However, the Alu Inside profile from Schüco is significantly lighter, which is especially appreciated by installation companies when installing windows with triple glazing. Moreover, the optimal arrangement of chambers, restriction of air flow in the sash rebate, and sufficiently sized chambers with optional placement of insulating materials contribute to excellent Uf values of up to 0.76 W/(m2K). While maintaining the aforementioned thermal and static properties, the profile is less demanding in terms of material consumption during production and is priced comparably to constructions of the same building depth with steel reinforcement. The standard building depth of the Alu Inside profile is 82 mm.

Not just Alu Inside ...
Visitors to the booth can also focus their attention on another range of products and surface finishes from the plastic division. Among other things, this includes the system of sliding doors Schüco ThermoSlide. These plastic sliding and lifting doors with excellent thermal insulation properties are newly offered by Schüco with external aluminum cover strips Corona TopAlu in various color shades. We should also mention the plastic door system Corona SI 82 with a covering panel in the metallic shade RAL 9006 using the AutomotiveFinish technology. This is a technology of metallic surface paints that reflects the know-how of paints manufactured in the automotive industry, meeting the highest technical demands for chemical stability, abrasion resistance, and weathering. Part of the exhibition space is also dedicated to aluminum door profiles, which, in addition to energy efficiency, are characterized by stylish design, ideal for luxury residential projects.
