Are you interested in efficient and modern building design? In just a few days, expert seminars from the technical experts of Atelier DEK will begin, focusing on trends in structural, material, and technological solutions. The first seminar will take place on Tuesday, January 22, in Ostrava. This will be followed by events in 11 cities across the Czech Republic.
The seminars, intended for the broadest technical public, especially for designers, will always be held from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Ostrava, Olomouc, Prague, Liberec, Hradec Králové, České Budějovice, Plzeň, Karlovy Vary, Ústí nad Labem, Jihlava, Brno, and Zlín.

"We will discuss the causes of selected construction defects and learn how to work with a public database of products and typical structures for buildings. We will also introduce the use of tools for estimating buildings and structures at various stages of construction preparation and for price comparison of material variants of solutions," stated DEK's technical director, Luboš Káně.
The program also includes the use of the aforementioned tools in designing using the BIM method, which creates and manages data about the building throughout its life cycle – from design, implementation, operation, reconstruction – to the end of operation and disposal. The seminar program varies by specific location. For example, the impact case of entertainment pyrotechnics and a subsequent fire on the roof of a senior housing facility will be presented in Ostrava. In Plzeň, among other topics, the design and structure of a modern passive family house will be discussed. Atelier DEK organizes the seminars in collaboration with DEKPROJEKT, DEKMETAL, and ÚRS CZ.
Participants with smartphones will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions and surveys during the seminar. Seminar participants accredited in the ČKAIT program (Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians in Construction) will also earn points for their participation.
