New product in the door hardware segment: Extremely subtle, extremely creative

The result of nearly two years of collaboration between M&T, the only Czech manufacturer of design door and window fittings, and Eva Le Peutrec, a world architect with Czech roots, is NOMAD. A handle bold in its simple shape and truly subtle lines, for which it was important to resolve production, especially from a technological perspective. It had to achieve the required mechanical properties.

“The idea of the design of the fittings was clear from the beginning. However, the handle was very slender, and to ensure it didn't break in hand, we had to gradually reinforce it. In the final slim and elegant version, we can guarantee not only a minimalist appearance but also long-term durability and extraordinary structural strength, which the handle ensures with a base material combining solid brass and special high-strength stainless steel,” describes Roman Ulich, the chief designer of the family manufactory M&T, and adds: “Given the designed absolutely subtle construction, testing trials were conducted on our robotic workstation to ensure the necessary strength.”

NOMAD places no limits on creativity

The visible part of the handle NOMAD consists of four components that can be color-combined freely. The handle is available in eleven surface finishes – glossy chrome, matte nickel, titanium chrome matte, titanium brass matte, titanium bronze matte, titanium copper brushed, titanium brown matte, matte white, titanium graphite matte, brushed black chrome 3D, and titanium black matte. The execution options are further expanded by the Touch variant with fine knurling.
