KOMA is preparing a School of Modularity for architects

After the success of the last conference "Modularity in Our Lives," they decided to delve deeper into the topic.
The first seminar will take place on June 15 at the KOMA headquarters in the Vizovice area. The main focus will be "Principles of Designing Modular Buildings," and four experts will guide you through the seminar: Stanislav Martinec, Peter Chaban, Josef Mikulčík, and Jiří Valenta. This event is primarily for architects, designers, and engineers who wish to immerse themselves in the world of modular construction and gain greater expertise.


Stanislav Martinec, founder of KOMA MODULAR with 30 years of experience, will focus on the key aspects of modular building construction. Architect Peter Chaban from the CHYBIK+KRISTOF studio will present the role of the architect in using modular elements in design through practical examples and realizations. Designer Jiří Valenta from KOMA MODULAR will then share his experiences in designing modular buildings, including the rules, possibilities, and limitations of construction. At the end of the theoretical part, Josef Mikulčík will talk about wall compositions, thermal parameters, and requirements for fire and sound resistance.

The afternoon part of the seminar will be reserved for discussion and sharing of insights between participants and speakers. With a limited capacity of 20 places, there will be plenty of space for interaction, discussion, and exchange of experiences.
