Not only about the virtual exhibition dedicated to the landscape, which increasingly needs to be protected from further encroachment and respected through the development of settlements within their own boundaries, will architect Antonín Novák from the Brno studio DRNH discuss with architectural historian Jakub Potůček.
Organized by the Museum of Art Olomouc in collaboration with the association Za krásnou Olomouc.
Architect Antonín Novák, after gaining international experience in the Vienna office of Prof. Arch. W. Holzbauer, founded a design office, Atelier DRNH, with Petr Valenta, which has received more than twenty awards, nominations, and accolades in various architectural competitions over the years – most recently the 3rd prize in the competition for the Czech pavilion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Since 2001, he has served as an educator at the Faculty of Architecture at VUT Brno and currently leads the architectural studio at FUA TUL in Liberec. Together with the Kuba–Pilař studio, he established the John Hejduk Award for the best bachelor's theses of students at the Faculty of Architecture VUT Brno. Antonín Novák is an intrinsic minimalist and one of the few true visionaries active in contemporary Czech building culture. His architecture, characterized by noble simplicity alongside many other features, cannot be imagined without "environmentally friendly" aspects, which for him represent not just a passing trend but an elemental respect for the environment.
