With the High Line in New York, they set an example for the whole world on how to work with unused railways in the middle of the city. By building the Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles, they joined the ranks of architecture elites like Renzo Piano and Zaha Hadid, who also collaborated with the Broad Art Foundation. We are talking about the studio Diller Scofidio + Renfro, founded in 1981 by Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio, with Charles Renfro becoming a partner of the studio in 2004. He accepted the invitation to our upcoming Urban Talks. In his lecture, he will present not only their projects from New York but also, in connection with the upcoming competition for a new philharmonic in Prague, we will discuss the successful project The Shed. This is a multifunctional building that can increase its capacity thanks to special rail systems.
