The Association of Alumni and Friends of the Faculty of Art and Architecture TUL is organizing a fall lecture series of alumni from the school titled "It's going to be..." at the Varšava cinema in Liberec, which will conclude on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at 6:30 PM.
It's going to be... PETR ŠTEFEK
A legend of the Liberec School of Architecture! After an internship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Farshid Moussavi Studio) and the media storm triggered by his diploma project at FUA TU Liberec “Hradec Králové Terminal” (Jiří Suchomel Studio), he moved to London. There, his smile, critique, and recognition were given to him by none other than Lord Norman Foster, Chris Wilkinson, and many others... Recently, he created with the team at HOK Architects the design for the residential building Fisher Street OSD for the company Crossrail. The building attracts attention with its sculptural form responding to the context of the historic city. The design has gained great popularity and many interesting nicknames. In his lecture, Petr will share experiences from London, where he still lives and works. Check out his website.
