Fresh Fruit warmly invites you to lectures and discussions within the SINGULARCH project – a series of informal meetings focused on young and high-quality architecture. The lectures and discussions showcase unique practices and projects from both local and foreign studios.
For the November lecture, which will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in the former boiler room of the Faculty of Architecture STU, the invitation has been accepted by an office from Ghent, known for its unique pragmatic approach. Their method of systematic deconstruction of the existing context and transforming it into a new reality has become an inexhaustible source of inspiration, bringing new interpretations of architecture.
Local guests from Prague will bring a new generation of approach to pragmatism into the discussion. Their practice, shaped by collaborative work since their student days and educational experiences across various European stages, is characterized by exceptional spatial solutions with playful and precise detail composition and material quality. Anna Svobodová and Ondřej Blaha create works that find poetic charm in simplicity and rawness. In their work, they avoid superficial conventions and rigorously explore space and its profound representation.
The lectures are part of the KUUMŠT event – a festival of cultural and artistic student activity. A week full of cultural content that expands the horizons of students and the public, providing insight into the artistic environment and creating a substrate for new relationships independent of university affiliation or field of study.
