On Wednesday, October 12th, 2016 at 6 PM at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, there will be a shared lecture of five young architectural offices from Brno: AEIOU, ARCHANTI, CHKAA, KOGAA, and SENAA. Graduates from the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University in Brno have received wide attention and recognition from juries at home and abroad. With this project, the FA BUT joins the October Days of Czech Culture in Poznań and celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the partnership between the cities of Brno and Poznań.
In the last week of October, five Poznań architects will give a lecture at the cultural center The Distilery in Brno.

AEIOU was founded in 2011 by Jan Vojtíšek and Jakub Staník, is Brno’s architectural office involved in design activities for new buildings, renovations, interior design, and urban planning at all stages of the project. We offer comprehensive solutions and coordination from studies and building permits to construction, including assistance with construction company selection and site supervision. Architecture, engineering, interiors, objects, and urbanism are closely related and intertwined. Our goal is to approach each entry comprehensively and in all contexts.

ARCHANTI was founded in 2008 by Martin Daněk, Martin Doležel, and Barbora Krejčová-Ponešová. The scale of the projects is not as important to us; we focus on quality and finding the right solution for each problem in conceptual and functional unity. Collaboration with external professionals from other creative fields is essential to us and always contributes to an individual approach to every task. We regularly participate in architectural competitions.

CHKAA (CHYBIK+KRISTOF ARCHITECTS & URBAN DESIGNERS) was founded in 2010 by two classmates, Ondřej Chybík and Michal Krištof. During their studies, the two students won many student competitions. The sponsor of one of these competitions was the internationally active Czech company, KOMA Modular. This company later tasked them with developing a new modular project for an employee cafeteria at KOMA Modular in Vizovice. The success of the cafeteria resulted in further collaboration, this time for the creation of the Czech pavilion in Milan. The pavilion won a Bronze Award in the category of Architecture at Expo 2015 Milano, and this prestigious contract, along with the winning design of the revitalization of the Prague Waltrovka district, helped the young architects become an internationally active architectural studio. Last year, they opened two new branches in Prague and Milan and this year another one in Bratislava.

KOGAA was established in 2015 by Aleksandra Georgescu, Tomáš Kozelský, and Viktor Odstrčilík. KOGAA is an international creative agency working across the fields of Architecture, Urban Planning, Interior, and Product Design based in Brno, Czech Republic. KOGAA designs, directs, and executes projects from concept through to creation. Thanks to its in-house specialists in engineering and interior design, projects are supervised internally at all times and in all aspects. Operating across many scales, KOGAA’s core ambition that drives each project is to challenge the boundaries of architecture in innovative and unexpected ways, balancing creative excellence with social and technical demands. KOGAA believes in research as an essential design tool, as every project is unique and requires an appropriate approach to its specific issues. A thorough study of the program, typologies, functions, site, and historical background is essential for unique outcomes.

SENAA was established in 2012 by Jan Sedláček and Václav Navrátil. We have gained valuable work experience in architectural studios in Brno, Prague, Rotterdam, Los Angeles, New York, and continue to develop it. For each task, we seek individual and new solutions. We place great emphasis on the feasibility of construction. We work in a team of experienced architects and cooperate with many specialized companies. We engage in all areas of architecture from urban new buildings and renovations to interior design. We process all stages of project documentation. Since we come from Haná and Slovácko, we are close to traditional principles and common sense.
