The authors of the book and the KANT publishing house cordially invite you to the launch of the book 99 HOMES [2 on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 18:00 at the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague (Kotěra Hall), Thákurova 9, Prague 6. Organized by Jan Stempel, Jan Tesař, and Petr Pištěk from the Department of Design at the FA CTU and KANT Publishing. The evening will be hosted by Adam Gebrian. The published houses will be presented by their owners. All supporters of good architecture are welcome. Admission is free, no registration required.
The second volume of the publication 99 HOMES presents another ninety-nine top-notch family houses built in the past six years in the Czech Republic. The book primarily contains a rich photographic documentation, accompanied by comments explaining the architectural concept of each building. The photographs are complemented by floor plans, sections, and situational drawings in the same scale, allowing for comparisons of size and spatial arrangement. The introductory texts address the issues of preparation and realization of a family house. The book will appeal not only to potential builders, architects, or architecture students, but also to anyone interested in contemporary Czech architecture.
