Žilina - Pecha Kucha [peča kuča] is a brand under which organizers present evenings of fast and dynamic presentations by creators they want the world to know about. Its principle is a precisely defined time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds for architects, designers, artists, and interesting creative people. Currently, this format has expanded to 146 cities worldwide, including Žilina and Bratislava this year. Pecha Kucha Night Žilina Volume 4 will take place on Friday, November 14 at 20:20 in the premises of the cultural center Stanica Žilina-Záriečie.

At the fourth Žilina Pecha Kucha Night, architects Martin Rajniš and Kamila Amblerová (CZ), Martin Pavelek (chief architect of the City of Žilina), Viera Mecková, graphic designers Juraj Poliak and Peter "Pyppo" Dlhopolček, artists Dorota Kenderová, Mikuláš Podprocký, photographer Ivan Kelly Köhler, filmmaker-documentarist Adam Hanuljak, psychologist Róbert Braciník from the Children's Crisis Center Náruč, director of the Puppet Theatre Žilina Peter Tabaček, and others will perform. Music will be provided by Dj Mishek (stereodisco.sk).

The format Pecha Kucha Night was invented and first launched to the public in 2003 in Tokyo by architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, founders of the architectural studio Klein Dytham Architecture. Each presenter has 20 images, each displayed on the screen for twenty seconds. Thus, each presenter has exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds. This rule keeps the evening dynamic, precise, relevant, and concise.

Pecha Kucha Night is organized in Slovakia in Bratislava and Žilina by the cultural center Stanica Žilina-Záriečie in collaboration with OZ Punkt and OZ Kachuna.
