On Monday December 8, 2014, at 6:00 PM, a lecture by Martin Kloda will take place at the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery on Bethlehem Square on the topic of Urban Space After the End of Modernity. The lecture is part of the second year of the People's School of Urbanism.
In the past, cities were founded, developed, and disappeared based on the logic of social and natural conditions. Through gradual centuries of development, they gradually achieved viable structures that we cherish and value to this day. The speed at which the world is changing due to the industrial and technological revolution is too fast for society to accept and absorb such changes. For a whole century, modernism set the direction for this new order. What will cities look like after its end?
Martin Kloda - architect and blogger, author, and builder of experimental projects. He is interested in contemporary urban development and the impact of buildings on the creation of public space.
