The lecture series titled "MADE IN SK" is a series of presentations by young Slovak architects at the Faculty of Architecture in Brno. Its aim is to map out and present the young Slovak generation of architects and theorists, thereby supporting Czechoslovak relations and continuing a shared tradition. All lectures take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Architecture in Brno, at Poříčí 5, always at 6:00 PM. Admission is free. After the presentations, there will be an afterparty at the faculty bar Detox. The first speaker on November 6th will be the architect and educator Imro Vaško. He founded the IVA studio (Institute of Visionary Architecture) as a platform for conceptual architecture and the laboratory of architecture VŠVU as an experimental research-and-educational studio. The following week, on November 13th, the contribution of young architects Martina Uhrík and Branislav Škopek from the KOD studio will follow. On Thursday, November 20th, Víto Halada and Benjamín Bradňanský will present, who, besides their studio N/A, also teach at the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Architecture. The last event will be a lecture by another Bratislava-based studio GUTGUT of architects Lukáš Kordík, Roman Halmi, Peter Jurkovič, and Števko Polakovič.
