The Faculty of Architecture CTU cordially invites you to a series of lectures by British architects, urban planners, engineers, and landscape architects, Best of British. The lectures will take place from November 6 to December 4, 2014, every day at 6:30 PM at the Faculty of Architecture CTU in Prague-Dejvice. The double lecture by Graham Morrison and Peter Bishop will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2014, at 6:30 PM in the Gočár lecture hall (room no. 155) and will focus on urban planning in the context of London. The practice of Allies and Morrison ranges from architecture and interior design to urbanism and spatial planning. The office contributed to the masterplan for King’s Cross Central, the redevelopment of one of the largest brownfields in Europe. Peter Bishop is the chief urban planner at Allies and Morrison and a professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture.
The lecture series is organized by the Faculty of Architecture CTU with the support and under the patronage of the British Embassy in Prague, offering CTU students and the general public a unique opportunity to personally familiarize themselves with the current state of architecture and design in the United Kingdom. Admission to the lectures is free.
