Ústí nad Labem

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 5:00 PM, the online cocktail evening hosted by the House of Arts Ústí nad Labem will take place on Facebook, featuring a lecture on lost places, an author reading of a short story on the same theme, complemented by poetry readings, and concluded with slam poetry about Ústí nad Labem!
The lecture will focus on how neglected and lost places arise, what problems they present, and how they can be beneficial. What other kinds of non-places can we find in the city and what do they tell us about today’s times? The short story will take us to the inner periphery of London, to a homeless man who found a home in this part of the city, and we will see how many such places can be found even in Czech cities. The poetry will concern the mysterious tension between the city and the landscape, and the slam poetry will be a surprise!
