Choose the best architect!

The quality of the urban environment in cities and the countryside is primarily determined by the quality of its architecture. Architects significantly influence the space that surrounds us, which we co-create and which ultimately helps restore citizen participation in the development of settlements.

The award is given to a person or persons who, over the past 5 years, have made a significant contribution to architecture in the Czech Republic through their innovative approach, through specific creative or organizational actions in the fields of house design, urban construction, and landscape creation, as well as through theoretical, educational, promotional, publishing, and popularization work.

Everyone has the right to nominate for the award. Czech nationality or formal education in the field is not a condition for awarding the prize.

Deadline for nominations: March 15, 2015

Each nominator will receive 2 honorary tickets to the FOR ARCH 2015 international construction fair.

Public voting will take place on the competition website (June - August), where the nominations will be presented – the first 15 architects.

The title of Architect of the Year 2015 will be officially awarded at the FOR ARCH gala evening on September 16, 2015, in the presence of the members of the expert jury Zdeněk Fránek, Antonín Novák, Josef Pleskot, Regina Loukotová, and Osamu Okamura.
