Žďár nad Sázavou

Žďár nad Sázavou - The town hall in Žďár nad Sázavou is preparing the sale of plots for 26 row houses and four apartment buildings in the newly created streets of the residential area Klafar. The announcement of the sales intentions has already been discussed by the council. This year, the city will spend about 20 million crowns on technical infrastructure in this area, with similar costs expected for next year, said mayor Zdeněk Navrátil (Žďár - living city) to ČTK. The price per square meter for the row house plot, including tax, will be 1999 crowns, and applications can be submitted from October 2.

"It will be on a first-come, first-served basis," said the mayor. However, interested parties will have a certain price certainty. In earlier sales of plots for individual housing, auctions decided in case of multiple demands. "We have some feedback that people would like to obtain plots that are smaller and financially manageable for them," justified Navrátil's change of approach.

Plots for row houses with areas of 400 to 600 square meters will be on the new Barvířská street, where the town hall plans to bring in technical infrastructure next year. Residents there will have a view of Zelená hora, the UNESCO pilgrimage site, according to the mayor.

Naděžda Straková from the Žďár firm Fincentrum Reality expects interest in the plots because there is a shortage of them in the city. "This is something that has been awaited for a long time," she said. According to statistics, the city has lost over 2600 residents in the past ten years, and now 21,000 people live there. For example, the neighboring municipality of Hamry nad Sázavou, where many plots were sold, has been growing.

Plots in Žďár nad Sázavou are more expensive than in surrounding villages, and according to Navrátil, the revenue from the sale will not cover the city's costs for preparing the land. Private developers, according to him, sell square meters in Klafar for about 2500 crowns.

Eight four-story apartment buildings are to be built on Hrnčířská street, where builders are currently finishing the infrastructure. These could create 120 apartments. The city owns four plots. If more interested parties apply for them, an electronic auction will decide the winner. The minimum price is set at 1999 CZK per square meter of land, excluding VAT.
