Jihlava - The representatives of the Vysočina Region will decide on the sale of the former Buchtův kopec sanatorium near Daňkovice in the Žďársko region only on November 6th. They agreed on this at today's meeting convened for this matter. The expansive area could not be sold by the region for about five years, but recently two interested parties have started to compete for it, raising their price offers.

The regional representatives unanimously and without debate decided to cancel the tender announced by the regional council. "The offers outside the announced council rules are much higher and the law allows it," said Deputy Governor Martin Kukla (ANO). He described the proposal for the resolution as a compromise. "This is to ensure that we do not discriminate against anyone, to behave as proper managers," he said.

The former sanatorium with pavilions and land occupies 19 hectares; its price has been gradually reduced by the region from 50 to 18 million CZK. At the beginning of September, the regional leadership informed that a company from Brno was vying for Buchtův kopec, which offered 20.1 million CZK and also paid a deposit. According to data on the regional website, this is the company Bantiko, s.r.o. The council recommended that this offer be approved by the council.

Meanwhile, another interested party emerged and offered 25 million CZK for the former sanatorium; according to data on the regional website, this amount was deposited in the region's account by the company Investate Gama. Subsequently, the company Batiko offered 30.5 million CZK for the former sanatorium in four installments. "To sum up, we have two offers submitted outside the rules of the regional council," Kukla said to the council members.

The Buchtův kopec sanatorium was completed in 1947 and initially served for the treatment of tuberculosis. Last, it was a long-term care facility operated by the hospital in Nové Město na Moravě. According to the region, the facility was unprofitable and was closed at the end of 2011. The care for the empty property costs 1.1 million CZK annually.
