Atelier of architect Jaroslav Wertig (A69) focuses on design education in the Bachelor and Master's program "Architecture and Urbanism," with collaboration starting in the winter semester of 2016.



Requirements:

- University education in architecture and urbanism

- Independence, organizational and communication skills

- Advanced level of English (teaching is conducted exclusively in English)

- Design practice and teaching experience are advantages

- Additional qualifications (humanities, urban studies) are an advantage
Candidates must be prepared to contribute intensively to the professional profiling of the studio while closely collaborating with other studios on the development of the academic program and activities of ARCHIP.



Application: documents in Czech or English containing

- a brief motivation statement and an idea for collaboration in leading the studio of architecture and urbanism

- a concise structured professional CV

- a sample of 3 selected works from the portfolio

- copies of documents proving university education and obtained academic degrees

Applications (A4/pdf/max. 20MB) must be sent no later than 1.8.2016 to info@archip.eu.


Selection process:


The selection process consists of two rounds. In the first remote round, the committee will assess all valid applications and select candidates for the second round based on the submitted materials, which will be in-person and held at the school’s premises. Candidates will be informed of the results of the first round by 7.8.2016, along with the date of the second round and the composition of the committee. The result of the selection process will be published no later than 25.8.2016.

Call for assistant professor at Studio Wertig

Academic Studio of Jaroslav Wertig (A69) at Architectural Institute in Prague is searching for an assistant for collaboration on providing studio-based design education to students from around the world in Bachelor and Master Programs "Architecture and Urbanism" starting in fall semester 2016.



Applicants will be considered based on the following qualifications:

- University master degree in architecture and/or urbanism, urban studies

- Independence in judgment, advanced organizational and communication skills

- Professional experience at design practice, teaching experience at a university or advanced academic qualification in humanities and urban studies as advantage

- Sound knowledge of English as the language of instruction



Applicants must be prepared to make contributions to the expertise of the studio and work closely with other design studios on the development of the institute's curriculum, activities, and events.

Application procedure:

Applicants should provide a PDF application (A4, not exceeding 20MB) consisting of a letter of intent on collaboration in the studio, CV, 3 relevant design works or professional activities, and copies of academic degrees. Only digital submissions will be reviewed. Application materials must be submitted to ARCHIP at: info@archip.eu by 1 August 2016.

In the first round, applications will be reviewed by the academic committee. Selected applicants for the second round will be invited for interviews. The dates of the interviews will be announced by 7 August 2016. The final result of the call will be announced by 25 August 2016.
