Dolní Břežany (near Prague) - A sports hall will be built in Dolní Břežany near Prague, which will be illuminated by light tubes. Construction will start in September, and it should be completed in a year. The town will pay 106 million crowns for the hall, with 70 percent of the costs covered by a subsidy from the Ministry of Finance. Lucie Vospělová, spokesperson for Dolní Břežany, informed ČTK.
The building will be part of a school complex and will serve students as well as the public. "Local sports clubs will use the hall for their activities, and there will also be space for recreational sports," said the mayor of Dolní Břežany, Věslav Michalik (STAN).
The hall will have a rounded shape and its exterior will be covered with aluminum shingles. With the help of electrically controlled blinds, the hall can be divided into multiple sections. It will be equipped for school teaching, sound system, six changing rooms, and social facilities, including adaptations for the disabled. An original space designed as an amphitheater will be created in front of the building.
The municipality also aims to start expanding the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant in the Lhota area this year or to construct a sewage system in the Zálepy area. The town's annual budget is approximately 100 million crowns.
