Tmaň - A home for the elderly with 150 places has been established in the newly renovated premises of the Tmaň castle complex in the Beroun region. The operation was launched a few weeks ago, and clients are gradually moving into the home located in a monument-protected area. Seniors pay around 1000 crowns per day in this private facility. The renovation of the building cost 220 million crowns, the company Senlife, which operates the home, reported today in a press release.
The company started the complete renovation of the building in 2022. During the reconstruction, it collaborated with heritage experts, preserving valuable architectural elements, such as vaulted ceilings in the former agricultural building or the stone-carved entrance gate.
Seniors have accommodation in single and double rooms with full-time care or in apartments. The facility includes a café and a garden. Prices range from 900 to 1100 crowns per day, depending on the size of the room. "Included are costs for accommodation, meals, and care," said company representative Lukáš Drásta in response to a CTK inquiry. The apartments are intended for seniors who can take care of themselves.
The first home for the elderly was opened by the Czech company Senlife in 2021 in the former monastery in Mělník. More homes are to be established in Chodová Planá in the Tachov region and in Dobrá Voda in the Příbram region. In Chodová Planá, the company is renovating a dilapidated Neo-Baroque castle, while in Dobrá Voda, restoration is taking place at a former spa from the First Republic.
According to data from the regional office, there are currently over 4200 beds available in homes for the elderly in the Central Bohemian Region within the regional social services network, with nearly 2000 additional beds in homes with special regimes.
