Art Without a Price Tag: Volunteers at the Heart of Culture

What motivates people to become volunteers, and what are the benefits of volunteering for their lives? How does volunteer work in the field of culture differ from volunteering in the charitable sector? How do cultural organizations recruit volunteers and maintain their interest and enthusiasm? Can various models and experiences from abroad be an inspiration? These are just some of the questions that will be addressed in a panel discussion focusing on the role of volunteers in the cultural and artistic environment. The aim of the discussion is to gain a deeper understanding of how volunteering works in culture and to highlight its importance for a democratic society. The discussion will take place on the occasion of International Volunteer Day.

• Nataša Diatkova – senior councilor at the Department of Crime Prevention in the Division of Preventive Activities and Volunteering at the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic
