Prague - A new residential project is emerging near the Vítkov park in Prague, which is set to result in 70 new apartments. The construction of the three apartment buildings named Zlatice is expected to be completed in the summer of next year. Project manager Radek Váňa told ČTK today that the investor does not disclose the amount of investment. The district of Prague 3 had several comments regarding the project, and the urban development committee disagreed with the construction five times.
The investor of the project is the RSJ Private Equity closed investment fund. The architectural solution has been undertaken by the company Helika. In addition to the apartments, the building will also offer 76 underground parking spaces and five non-residential units. A notable feature of the project is the green terraces on the roof structure of the ramp, which are attached to the apartments on the first floor.
"This is an infill development of the block where the construction belongs, but the volumes of the new building are problematic. The district gave many sharp comments on the construction proposal, forcing the developer to reduce the building by one floor. However, the project was approved in its current size under the previous leadership of Prague 3," said Stanislav Kněnický, spokesperson for Prague 3, to ČTK today.
The architects aimed to use the unusual position on the border of the city and the park in the project. Vítkov Hill, where the National Monument is located, is one of the landmarks of the metropolis. The park, which covers an area of about 15 hectares, is expected to undergo improvements in the future.
