Brno - The Brno-based company Arch.Design, which is engaged in the design of civil and transportation constructions, saw its profit drop by more than half to 300,000 crowns last year. The company's profit is the lowest in the last three years. This was revealed by CTK from the annual report registered in the Collection of Documents.
The company's revenue from the sale of its own products and services has been declining regularly over the past three years. Last year, it reached 116 million crowns. This represents a year-on-year decline of 17%. Almost all of the company's revenue is generated domestically. Revenue from abroad reached 676,000 crowns.
Arch.Design is owned by architect Jaroslav Kobza. Together with former managing director Jaroslav Dokoupil, they received a three-year ban last autumn from participating in public procurement tenders. The board of the Czech Chamber of Architects (ČKA) condemned them for unethical behavior and failing to prevent a conflict of interest concerning one of the planned Brno constructions.
According to the company's annual report, Kobza and Dokoupil stepped down from their positions as managing directors in favor of architect Jana Háyeková late last year.
Arch.Design is one of the largest design offices in the region. For instance, it prepared the project documentation for the construction execution, author supervision, and the documentation of the actual implementation of the International Clinical Research Center (ICRC) in Brno.
