Overview of this year's GJF activities in the field of excursions for modern architecture, urbanism, the development of contemporary public spaces and urban landscapes, examples of revitalization of old industrial districts or docks, and models of thoughtful planning in Northern Europe and Scandinavia, along with a new perspective on maintaining and supporting the genius loci!
Slovenia
A journey through modern wineries, contemporary architecture of Slovenia, and the famous urban ensembles and buildings of Jože Plečnik.
The excursion will take place in these locations and cities – Krems, Gamlitz, Deutsch Görlitz, Škalce, Ljubljana, Vienna
Date: May 11–14, 2018 (Friday–Monday)
Price: 6,600 CZK (including transportation, three nights with breakfast)
Scandinavia
A tasting of the most interesting architecture of Northern Germany, Denmark, and Norway, including visits to significant modern art museums and top urban spaces.
The excursion will take place in these locations and cities – Wolfsburg, Hamburg, Copenhagen and surroundings, Malmö, Oslo and surroundings, Gothenburg, Helsingør, Louisiana, Odrupsgaard, Rostock
Date: June 30 – July 8, 2018 (Saturday–Sunday)
Price: 17,500 CZK (including transportation by bus and ferry, eight nights with breakfast)
Venice
Traditional visit to the Venice Biennale of Architecture, a tour of modern architecture in Graz, and relaxation by Lake Mondsee.
